TruFinder Mobile Application Launches with Contact Tracing and Efficiency Features
CenTrak has launched the TruFinder™ mobile app for iOS and Android, offering senior living communities advanced contact tracing, real-time location tracking, asset search, and mobile system management features to enhance caregiver efficiency, support informed infection risk assessments, improve quarantine protocols, and ensure compliance with CMS and CDC regulations, all provided free to TruView™ customers.
Mobile System Management and Contact Tracing Feature Enhance Caregiver Efficiency and Infection Prevention
Continuously addressing industry needs with cutting-edge Real-Time Location System (RTLS) technology, CenTrak announced the launch of its TruFinder™ mobile application, introducing contact tracing capabilities and additional features to improve caregiver efficiency and community infection prevention. The app is available on Apple iOS® and Android® at no charge to all new and existing TruView™ customers. It serves as a companion to the company’s emergency alert and wander management system for senior living communities.
According to Deric Blattenberger, CenTrak’s General Manager of Senior Care, the mobile app is designed to help senior living communities provide high-quality care and a safe environment. The app’s accurate Location Tracing report allows communities to conduct informed risk assessments and implement quarantine protocols that do not impede care. TruFinder™’s asset search and mobile system management capabilities enable resource-constrained teams to be more efficient and focused on residents.
The app allows users to quickly review the real-time location and all past interactions of residents, assets, and staff. By leveraging this data, the Location Tracing report enables leadership to view a complete history of any infected residents, the people they encountered, the duration of their contact, and the precise location of the visit. Residents and staff members can then be assigned a precise risk level to inform quarantine decisions. The contact tracing feature enhances both QAPI and infection prevention programs, ensuring communities can control infection spread, implement appropriate responses, and remain compliant with CMS and CDC regulations.
Additional features include:
- Real-time location insights to verify vital assets within a room before entering resident spaces, saving on personal protective equipment (PPE) and reducing redundant interactions.
- Camera access for barcode scanning to manage system changes, such as Geo-pendant assignments.
- Option to add resident photos into system profiles.
TruView™, launched in 2019, addresses the need for accurate location-based emergency alerting and wander management in senior care communities. The new mobile app enhances staff efficiency with mobile system management and helps prevent the spread of infections through built-in contact tracing. These new capabilities are available without additional costs or technology implementation requirements.
