Location Technology
Battery-powered Room Monitors and Virtual Walls are easily installed in patient care environments, providing accurate room and sub-room/bay-level locating. Utilizing second-generation infrared (Gen2IR) technology, these devices transmit a unique location ID detected by any tag in that location. Gen2IR ensures reliable communication without passing through walls or requiring line-of-sight, offering enhanced security and efficiency.
The tag transmits the location ID via radio frequency to the Location Server, enabling real-time access by hospital staff. This integration supports a wide range of software solutions and Health IoT platforms, improving operational workflows and patient care management.
